Kurt Busch is hanging on by his fingernails
I don't have much comment on The Chase with only one race left. It is what it is, and it is pretty close. I'm pulling for Busch becuse I'd like to see Roush win another trophy.
I will say that it sucks there is no more Southern 500 at Darlington. It was rather appropriate there was a beautiful sunset as the final Southern 500 came to a close. The Southern 500 was dropped in favor of a Labor Day race in Southern California. This is the same California race track that only has about 80,000 seats. This is the same Southern California with such fickle fans they haven't had a NFL team in LA for almost 10 years. This is the same Southern California where the baseball fans leave after the 5th inning to beat the traffic. I hope moving the race was worth it for Brian France. In the past, I have rationalized a 2nd race date at Texas Motor Speedway at the expense of places like North Wilkesboro and Rockingham, but the Southern 500 seemed to be a little more sacred. I'm sure someone reading this blog (one of the 10 or so visitors I get each week) might call me a hypocrite and point out I live in Texas and am showing favoritism toward my home track. They're probably right, but they can bite me anyway.
On an unrelated note, a came across this website via a Corvette forum I read. I was screwed by a company named Florida Calipers back in 1994 when doing some upgrades and repairs on my Corvette. At the time, I worte it off as a hard lesson learned. Recently, I found out these guys have scammed a lot of other Corvette owners over the years. They are now doing business as Vette Parts Online. There is a special place in hell for guys like this. I just thought I'd put this link in my blog in hopes that google might pick it up.

VettePartsOnline.com is truly a scam. They first claimed that they never recieved my cores and could not refund my $90. I provided proof and they said they will send the $90. They never did. The employees there are all in on the scam because of the way they try to protect Carl. There is a special in hell waiting for Carl Shuhi AKA Penis-mouth.
